Data Science and Machine learning for predictive models.

What do you like about working in fire science?

Hope I can help with real time prediction of wildfires and mitigations.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Lots of stuff but Yoga on top!

Do you have any advice to give women wanting to pursue a career in science?

My PhD supervisor was a roughly 70-year-old Professor, and I was his last PhD student. During our meetings and brainstorming, he used to say: “You’re not a student and don’t have a particular gender right now; we’re just two brains working for science”. Since then, when I have a meeting, I just focus on the “brains”!
